Sales Representative:
Metro Pumps is looking for an outgoing professional Sales Representative. We are offering an excellent opportunity for a self starter who is looking to build a rewarding career with an aggressive sales and engineering company that specializes in pumps. The candidate will be responsible for the sales of pumps, pump parts, pump repairs and process equipment to the Oil and Gas Industry, Power Generation and Chemical industrial markets. Metro Pumps distributes leading pump brands and rotating equipment such as Gorman Rupp, Aurora, Fairbanks Morse, Floway, Hydra-Cell, Egger, Summit, Ruhrpumpen, Hydra-Tech, Flex-A-Seal, US Motors and other recognized brands.
Qualifications Required:
- Experience in the pump industry.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proven track record of sales achievement.
- Excellent PC skills including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Product and Industry knowledge of industrial accounts involved with hydrocarbon processing, chemical, and power markets is preferred.
- A strong engineering background and or a minimum of 5 years experience in selling rotating equipment required.
Job Duties:
- Develop existing accounts for maximum penetration.
- Achievement of sales forecast for target pump, parts and service.
- Develop relationships at all key accounts.
- Expand customer base to increase sales.
- Present technical seminars and demonstrations.
- Create trust with the customer and follow through on all commitments.
- Interpretation of customer specifications and submission of clean orders.
- Effectively process orders and manage any issues that arise.
- Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment.
- Handle customer telephone inquiries.
